In her key note address to the 8th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit later in the day, she is likely to stress on ensuring women entrepreneurs have access to capital, access to networks and mentors, and access to equitable laws. According to excerpts of her speech obtained by PTI, she would state that despite the soaring rate of female entrepreneurs, women still face steep obstacles to starting, owning, and growing their businesses.

13-yr-old Australian Youngest Entrepreneur at GES
Hamish Finlayson, 13, is the youngest entrepreneur who will be showcasing his gaming and awareness apps at the high-profile Global Entrepreneurship Summit here. The Australia-based entrepreneur, who is studying in 7th grade, has so far developed five apps including the one to save turtles, and is currently working on the sixth one for increasing awareness about traffic rules. “I am super excited to be in India,” Finlayson said.
IT Firms Ask Employees to Work From Home
Some of the IT firms located at Madhapur here have asked their employees to work from home today and for the next two days keeping in view restrictions put in place for the global summit being attended by US President Donald Trump’s daughter and advisor Ivanka Trump. As part of security arrangements for the high-profile event, restrictions have been put in place with regard to movement of people and vehicular traffic in and around the venue, the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), at Madhapur, which is an IT hub.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Hyderabad, where he will address the inaugural ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Summit along with Ivanka Trump and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said GES 2017 will be an important opportunity for India and the US to showcase the entrepreneurship of people, advance women’s economic empowerment, & harness the power of young innovators in both countries.
In her keynote address, Ivanka Trump, will stress on fuelling the growth of women-led businesses, saying closing the gender entrepreneurship gap world-wide could grow global GDP by as much as 2 per cent. Excerpts of her speech made available reveal she will stress on ensuring women entrepreneurs have access to capital, access to networks and mentors, and access to equitable laws.
The Hyderabad Police issued a traffic advisory, announcing that traffic will be diverted from 5pm to 11pm on the following routes:
– Traffic from I S Sadan, DMRL, towards Chandrayan Gutta will be diverted at Midhani junction towards Balapur.
– Traffic from Srisailam Highway will be diverted at Keshavgiri Post office toward Balapur.
– Traffic from Himmath Pura towards Falaknuma will be diverted at Nagulchintha T Junction towards Laldharwaza.
– Traffic from Kalapathar/ Jahanuma towards Shamshirgunj T Junction will be diverted towards Gowshala Jhanuma.
– Traffic from Jahanuma and Bibi ka Chashma will not be allowed towards Falaknuma and will be diverted towards Shamsheergunj.
– The Road form Engine bowli to Chandrayan gutta X Road will be totally blocked.
More delegates have started arriving in Hyderabad for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
Officials said that Ivanka will reach HICC at 3 pm and meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. After the inaugural session of GES and a panel discussion, Ivanka will return to her hotel. Around 8 pm, she will leave for Taj Falaknuma, a palace hotel in the old city where Modi is hosting a dinner for her and other GES delegates. After the dinner, she will come back to the hotel. On Wednesday she will leave for HICC around 9 am and address another session at GES. She will leave HICC at noon. Security agencies were tight-lipped on her itinerary for the rest of the day, but is scheduled to fly to Dubai tomorrow night. State government officials said the US security authorities had kept her schedule under tight wraps due to high security threat perception.
