Seven Month Pregnant Hyderabadi Woman Jumped to Death
A 35-year-old and seven months pregnant woman in Hyderabad died as she jumped off a moving van to keep herself safe from the molestation by the driver and cleaner of the vehicle in Telangana’s Medak district when she was returning after selling off old clothes for a living.
The incident took place at Hyderabad-Nagpur National Highway 44 in Ravelli village of Toopran block late on Saturday night. The Cleaner and driver asked her to pay the toll fee at the Toopran Toll plaza, after travelling several kilometres, the duo attempted to rape her. The woman was travelling along with her seven-year daughter. She jumped to death to escape sexual assault.
The duo left the girl after km from the incident spot and fled from the spot when she informed the villagers about the incident. When they reached the spot, they found she was dead. Villagers informed the Police, who alerted her Husband Regonda and her family members at Potharajpalli village.
She first threw her bag of clothes out before jumping from the vehicle
Police said Ude Kalavathi to Hindustan Times, a seven-month pregnant woman who sold old clothes, was returning to her village from Kompalli on the outskirts of Hyderabad along with her seven-year-old daughter Sirisha on Saturday night in a van after she missed the state-run RTC bus.
“The daughter was not in a position to tell exactly what had happened inside the vehicle. Going by the closed circuit footage, images, she first threw her bag of clothes out before jumping from the vehicle. The driver appeared to have applied the break and then moved again,” Toopran circle inspector Lingeshwar Rao told the Hindustan Times.
