Race 3 earned Rs 39.16 crore on Sunday and thus took its total collection to an amazing Rs 106.47 crore.Race 3 is making quick work of whatever little competition it has. Both Veere Di Wedding and Parmanu seem to be on their way out. Race 3 is the third film in the Race franchise that began in 2008. The first two films in the franchise were directed by Abbas-Mustan.Race 3 has zoomed past the Rs 100-crore mark within three days of its release.
Till now, the stylish action thriller has grossed Rs 177.51 crore (Rs 142.01 crore) in India and Rs 60 crore in the international markets. It currently stands with the grand total of Rs 237.51 crore and is expected to enter the Rs 250 crore by today or tomorrow at the ticket windows.
Talking about the domestic box office, Race 3 has shattered the record of over 35 Bollywood films and is currently the third highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat and Baaghi 2. It will surpass the business of Baaghi 2 by its second weekend to grab the second spot in the list. The film has turned out to Salman’s thirteenth Rs 100 crore film after Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Ready, Bodyguard, Sultan, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Kick, Jai Ho and Tubelight. Looking at the current trend, we are expecting the film to cross Rs 150 crore mark in its opening week at the box office.
